To date, our events have enabled us to donate $6,477.28 to Wisconsin-based charities & foundations in addition to hosting toy drives, school supply drives and pet supply drives.
On September 29th, 2018, Brew City Crafters donated half of all admission fees from our Inaugural Harvest Fest to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin which resulted in a contribution of $1,423.00
On September 28th, 2019, we hosted our 2nd Annual Harvest Fest at the Milwaukee County Sports Complex. Half of all admission fees benefited Make-A-Wish Wisconsin which resulted in a donation of $2,396.78
Since Make-a-Wish Wisconsin's founding in 1984, more than 6,000 children and their families throughout the state have experienced the transformative power of a wish. Make-A-Wish serves a unique and vital role in helping strengthen and empower children battling critical illnesses.
On July 14th, 2018, Brew City Crafters LLC hosted a school supply drive at our HandMade in the Shade event which helped ensure that children in Milwaukee County will be able to attend their first day of school with the supplies they need.
Later in 2018, Brew City Crafters LLC and The Salvation Army of Milwaukee Cold Spring teamed up for our first Custom Kettle Art event. Ten local artists created custom kettle designs based on the theme "light of the world". These kettles will be featured at prominent events in Southeastern Wisconsin throughout the 2018 holiday season.
On July 13th, 2019, Brew City Crafters hosted the 2nd Annual HandMade in the Shade event in St. Francis, Wisconsin. This event doubled as a back-to-school, school supply drive and an art and craft fair. School supplies were donated to The Salvation Army to help prepare local children in need for the upcoming school year.
The Salvation Army marched into the United States in 1880 and established the Milwaukee mission in 1889. Since then, they have committed to meeting the basic needs of individuals in crisis. Their goal is to provide assistance quickly and compassionately through their Community Assistance programs in Milwaukee.
On December 16th, 2017, Brew City Crafters teamed up with our vendors and collectively donated hundreds of toys and games to the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin's annual Toy Drive during our Holiday Craft & Vendor Fair.
On December 14th, 2019, Brew City Crafters hosted the 2nd Annual Holiday Art & Craft Fair at Serb Hall in Milwaukee. This event doubled as a toy & art supply drive which enabled us to donate hundreds of art supplies and toys were delivered to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
Children's Hospital of Wisconsin has been a part of the community dating back to 1894 and is consistently ranked among the top in the nation's pediatric hospitals. They are partnered with the community by offering health education classes as well as hospital-based child and family counseling programs.
On March 3rd, 2018, vendors participating in the Inaugural Spring Fling event in Milwaukee as well as Brew City Crafters LLC teamed up to collectively donate hundreds of pet products & supplies to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
On May 11th and 12th of 2019, Brew City Crafters LLC held our 2nd Annual Spring Fling art & craft fair in Washington County. Half of all public admission fees were donated to the Wisconsin Humane Society which resulted in a total donation of $797.50.
On May 22nd & 23rd of 2021, we held our 4th Annual Spring Fling after an 18-month break since our last show due to Covid-related postponements. We had 1,106 visitors at the show that generated a donation of $500.00 to the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Founded in 1879, the Wisconsin Humane Society has been saving the lives of animals in need for nearly 140 years. Currently, WHS annually serves 40,000 animals and offers a variety of services including adoption, spay/neuter, pet food bank and dog training in addition to offering numerous specialty programs.
On February 19th, 2019, Brew City Crafters LLC made a donation of $360.00 to the Manitowoc County Historical Society in a partnership with MCHS for our Manty Makers Market which took place on March 23rd, 2019. For each of the 72 booths at the show, Brew City Crafters donated $5 from the booth fees to help contribute to MCHS's mission.
Established in 1906, the Manitowoc County Historical Society conducts woodworking & blacksmithing courses, restores historical structures, hosts interactive learning experiences as well as working with the community to preserve the history of the state of Wisconsin.
On November 23rd & 24th of 2019, Brew City Crafters donated $1,000.00 of admission fee proceeds from our Mad City Holiday Bazaar to the Alzheimer's Association in memory & honor of loved ones very near and dear to us as well as everyone affected by Alzheimer's or dementia.
Currently, over 110,000 people in Wisconsin are living with Alzheimer's or dementia, and more than 194,000 people care for loved ones with the disease. The focus of the Alzheimer's Association is to provide access to healthcare; access to receiving a diagnosis; and access to services and resources to all affected by Alzheimer's and related dementias.
